A great soft pad mod... (reposted)

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but this mod works on all soft pads (except ones with foam inserts) if there is an official forum for all soft pads, I'm sorry I missed it. Anyways here was the post:

I was going to take apart my friends old crappy original konami pad, but then my dad came up with an idea to using contact cement to glue the pad to a piece of hardboard. I was a little skeptical, and then I did it, and now the pad is working great (except my feet hurt a little bit now...). This mod is relatively inexpensive, I got all my supplies at home depot: adhesive primer, contact cement, and hardboard (which I got for free out of the scrap area), and the supplies were $10. I'll probably post pictures and a how-to guide in a later thread...
