Hi, I have an opportunity to get a bunch of plexiglass for free. It's not lucid or anything. It's 1/8th inch thick. Is that an ok size? Is it worth taking? And if so, could you please let me know what size to cut out. Is 10"X10" good? And what about that little corner that needs to be cut out? Thanks a bunch,

1/8 will work fine if you are building a metal pad. You need 8 squares of at least 10 7/8 x 10 7/8 though. Normal plexi should be fine.

maybe BUT i made the mistake of getting medium strength lexan and once i tried to screw it in , it cracked everyone one. so i bought the most expensive type, the stuff thats like 250 times stronger then glass. THAT is some strong stuff

you tried to screw straight into plexiglass? it will always break if you screw it without drilling a guide hole. just be patient and the friction of the drill should melt the plexi.
