I heard a rumor that DDR is no longer the hip thing in Japan. Everyone allegedly likes pop'n'music, Drummania, etc. Is this true? And does that mean no more DDR releases past DDR Extreme in USA? _________________

DDR is in hiatus, but yes, the other Bemani are in style, namely pop'n and BMIIDX. GF/DM is after them. |

GF/DM have their following in japan, but their most popular bemani game right now is Pop'N Music. IIDX is popular, but its just expensive. _________________

as long as there is a demand for something there will always be the supply. Since DDR seems to be getting more and more popular in the US, Japan will always make DDR for us |

And yeah, DDR = DED. If you want to stay hip and otaku though, try playing Pop'N Music. |

I don't care how much information you guys are throwing around.
It's the simple matter of the fact, as a dancing game, nothing surpasses DDR!
This means that if people still have interest in dancing games they will still look up to DDR.
So the bottom line is no, DDR is not dead.
It is never over, never!!!!!!!
You just think it is. _________________

I'm so broken up!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
i'm glad that people finally understand the truth
DDR isn't woth keeping around anymore. I wish I had been playing IIDX or pop'n all along.
I'd be alot richer.

Yeah. Arcade-wise, DDR is looking pretty defunct. Or if you're still into it, you could just get the home versions like the rest of us normal people and quit whining. Konami still seems to be cranking those out pretty constantly. _________________

Home version......................
I don't think I will ever be happy with those.
Not just cause they lack the essential songs to make a DDR mix good.
But there is also a sense of community in the DDR arcade.
Something that home versions could never really replicate.
So if the arcade DDR does die out, I have only tears to say. _________________

Yes that is what I'm doing right now, ever since I started playing DDR.
Converting people to the DDR Religion. I have 5 people under my belt from which I already converted. _________________
