Well... I recently downladed Katze's new Extreme files. I was happy to see an announcer! 
But when I changed everything... I noticed that at the main screen, it says "Dance Dance Revolution!". And I noticed the background splash image was laggy. So I started playing... and at the times when the announcer says something, the game lags up.
So I switched back to my original Max2 announcer (from stepmania.com) and it was lag free. I was still using Katze's Extreme Theme though. I did notice that at the main screen. The announcer says "DDR Max!", but the DDR Extreme background splash logo didn't lag up. So it must have something to do with Katze's new Extreme announcer.
Are you guys experiencing this or is it only my computer?  Thanks! |

wait where did u download it? i got katzes extreme but no announcer. i just downloaded it not to long ago!

On the side, click KatzeExtreme... then click Download... then choose what you want to download.

| Works fine on my computer. Only thing I noticed is a bit of static in the sound samples. |

The extreme announcer also slows me down. Granted, I have a prehistoric computer, but Stepmania runs fine without the announcer (it does slow down a bit when backgrounds are moving too much, but that's bearable).
I haven't tried any other announcers, though.
I remember the crowd cheering noise produced the most slow down during play.

Sorry guys, its currently just hte Max+ announcer with some removed stuff and Difficulty screen compatibility
Im waiting on ripped sounds
The reason i released it how it is now, is because the files suck. they are terrible quality. Im working on it.
System Requirements:
Pentium 233
256 mb ram
Real Graphics card.
Good speed hard disk.
thats it man, if you cant get it running on that, pm me and ill help you configure your system accordingly, im teh god of poopy sm boxes

it slows down a little in between the results and going back to the music. in my opinion its great!
