I recently got a PS2 >> USB converter and want to hook up my konami drumset to my computer so i can play live/realtime drums to any songs/mp3's/etc. that i want, but i don't know what software to use.

I have searched and searched but only found programs that i can create loops w/ and such, but no "real time" / live function in any, in which i can assign controller buttons. It can be a free program, demo, or anything, but has anybody done this and can point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

If you can find a vree virtual midi keyboard, you can set it to the drum channel (10?) for your midi drivers.

Then, you can use JoyToKey, which will map joystick buttons to keyboard buttons. Just figure out which midi keyboard presses you want.

Now, this is just an idea, but I don't know if it will work. But it's the closest thing I can think of if you can't find a virtual drumset online...

yeah, drum channel is 10, so it should work the way ninjafetus has stated. I'm sure you can find a free virtual keyboard application that works as a midi input.

Well... standard channel is 10. I put "10?" because is you have a non-standard midi set, it can be a different channel.
