I've been playing on DWI (with pads) at home a lot recently and when I went back to the arcade I found myself getting a much worse perfect:great ratio than I get on the computer. Is the default perfect threshold higher for DWI than the default one for DDR Extreme? Is it possible for the arcade owners to tweak this?

In response, I turned the perfect and great timing down on DWI to try to increase my accuracy. Does anyone have any experience with this idea that can verify its effectiveness for me? I don't want to do it if it won't help me because it's rather frustrating.

in dwi the default windows are equal to the home version windows. the arcade perfect window is i think 2/3 the size of the home version window.

The simulator timing windows are much larger than those in the arcade series. I don't know how they compare to the console releases, but they're fairly close in terms of lenience.

Also, there really isn't a "default" timing in the arcade games. If it's the same mix, then it'll be the same window no matter what. There's no way to legitimately change it.
