Stepmania Lag

Ok, I searched through the forums but didn't find what I was looking for. I have an EMS 2 adapter and a TX-2000. When I use Stepmania 3.9 Dipstick Build the dancepad lags by about a half second or so. Is there sxomewhere in the stepmania.ini file I can fix this?

Well, i think u can speed up the program by lowering the textures and stuff, but the thing that really speeds it up is setting the Background Brightness to 0%, cuz i used to have the same problem but this worked for me. And you'll probably see the arrows better without the backgrounds

It's the adapter. I have a LPT port adapter and just AAAed the song that I got a FRICIN A on last time. (this is on judge difficulty 3 on Cartoon Heros light... just for testing purposes)

Adapter sticky at the top. It has the information you need to ditch that lag!
