Recently a friend of mine found a copy of Goo Goo Soundy, a Konami Music CD Simulation game for Japanese Playstation on Ebay for $12. I'm curious if anyone else has heard of it and if anyone knows exactly what you are supposed to do. I played it once and it confused me, what exactly is the point?

Help?

You're supposed to send your game to me because after all you decided you don't really want it anyway.

But seriously, this game has to be the hardest game on the internet to find information about. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ANYWHERE!

Er wait, I did read something about a function where you can put in your own music cd and it adds arrows or something.

Learn Japanese, and you should be able to figure it out. And if you don't I'll buy it from you for 12 bucks and try to figure it out myself.

So looking breiifly around the web, yes, it seems to let you put a CD in and add arrows, but (as I can imagine.) it doesn't do a very good job. As the amazon JP page trandlated by babel fish says in the one star review of the game: "The foot, completely is not agreeable to tune."

But then that reviewer was complainig about how long 3 minute songs were, so he might not be someone you want to listen to.

However, remember how much art is in dance dance arrows. They aren't just slapped on a song randomly. So I woulsn't spend money on this game.

I'd be amused to know if it is at all fun if you do happen to get it, though.

I have a copy of Goo Goo Soundy. you just put it in your playstation, choose the right menu selections, then put a CD of your choice in, the game creates steps for your song, however the steps are always not on the main beat, but on some off beat of the song....also, there is no fancy arrow combinations and the highest it goes I'd say is maybe Trick level, but that's pushing it. Not worth it, but is fun for a couple times to play your own music and step. I have no idea how it works !!!!

I just got a copy of this game, and it's a great idea. But the arrow generator isn't too good.
Does anyone know if there is a way to edit the steps, and if so how? Can these possibly edited steps be saved?
And why the hell isn't there a better version for PS2 with the same premise; put in any music cd and play DDR to it?!
Or is there and I'm too sheltered to know about it?
