I have the after all svenson and gielen remix video i downloaded from a
site and i want to put it in my stepmania. the problem is. its a windows media video file. is there a way to change it to avi. or mpeg?

You need to download the DirectX SDK (not just the runtime, the whole triple-digit MB version, available only to broadband users) and then use GraphEdit to extract the video. Here are details.

Or see if somebody else is hosting the music video in .avi or .mpg on one of the p2p piracy networks.

search Yahoo for "Bink and Smacker" or "RAD Video Tools". there are video converters in those programs.
