Another BuyNShop.com warning

I ordered a PS2 to LPT adapter from buynshop.com. The one in the picture has an 18" cable. The one they sent is a 5" cable.

I contacted them to get an exchange. They told me they made the substitution because they claim the 18" cable is out of stock and the one they send me is equivalent (I guess size does not matter to BNS

). They said I can get a refund, but I will have to ship back the incorrect adapter via their RMA process and they will issue a refund for everything but the shipping cost.

My choices are:

Return the cable (I'll be out the $5 shipping)
Keep the cable and buy an extension cable at the computer store (They cost about $5)

In the end I'm only out $5 and some time, not a big deal. But this is the 2nd time this week I have heard of buynshop.com shipping substituted but inferior items. They were not apologetic about the situation (in fact, they were quite the opposite with the take it or leave it attitude).

Just buyer beware. If I was paying $30 for shipping on a DDR pad, I would be really angry about them asking me to return it and forfeit the shipping costs. It was their mistake, they should make it right.

As a request, this had something to do with LPT or USB adapters, so such things should be directed to the Simulators forum instead of Controllers and Hardware.
