When someone talks like this

blah blah blah blah blah blah

it's really annoying.

Generally, the reason why a person does that is because they just made some sort of joke, and they will usually explain themselves in that small text.

Though it someone is constantly replying in just small text, then yes. That is a problem.

Here's my philosophy -

It's not being intrusive by any means.

If it pisses you off that people are doing it...then just don't read it. You're probably not missing anything, since, by definition, little text gets little attention. You don't *HAVE* to change your font size or copy/paste into the URL bar or Notepad...

In case some people can't find the options:
Firefox Preferences -> General -> Fonts & Colors:

Safari Preferences -> Advanced

wow, firefox looks something like mac. i always thought it was something so complicated i shouldnt evem try. but it looks like IE with its differences of course.

anyways, i never really had a problem with the small text. i read it if i really give crap about it. and like it was said, if you put it in small text, its not that important at all. its like me putting my whole paragraph in small text. but yeah, it would be a good idea to warn ppl who CONTINOUSLY use the sall text thing.

Well you see there's this button on your keyboard, it's labeled "Print Screen."

Amazingly, it does what it says.

The FireFox Screenshot is from G4 Optimized build of Firefox 1.0 RC2 (an Optimized build for Windows also exists).

I'm using Jon Hicks' Safari-style Tabs and Arronax's GrApple (Classic) Theme.

I added a minor hack of my own so that only the reload or stop button will show at any given time (kind of like how Safari works) and the Spellbound spell checking pluggin. It's not as nice as Safari's spell check, but it's better than nothing.

I'm on a Mac so things obviously look a little more mac-like but the Windows version is every bit as good as OS X (arguably better because the Windows FireFox feels like it belongs in Windows more than the OS X FireFox feels like it belongs on OS X.)

It's certainly worth trying out FireFox, even if it doesn't become your main browser. I prefer it to IE6 on Windows already but you might want to hold off for another week and wait for the Final 1.0 release: there are still a handful of known bugs, mostly minor things, but they're still bugs.

To keep this on topic: IMHO this problem exists in the user's browser/configuration: it's not something that needs to be fixed on the forum side.

No it bloody doesn't. It sticks the current display into your clipboard as an image. Once apon a time it actually used to physically print out your screen display, but that was back when computers were run by giant lizards on treadmills.

Quit talking about me. E10.gif

It's extremely easy to just hit the quote button to see what the person said. I don't see any reason to warn people over it.

And that's still exactly what it does. Just because it says "Print" doesn't mean it involves a printer. Printing into a memory buffer is still printing.

I do recall awhile back that someone suggesting changing the pulldown menu for font size from "tiny" to "useless drivel." I still support that suggestion.
