Posted in the Chit-Chat forum but was told to post here, so here it is.

Well, I've got most of the materials in modding a DDR pad (Looked at the FAQ on the DDRFreak website). I got all the materials that I needed from Home Depot, except for the hardwood floor covering. None of the workers there seemed to knew what I was talking about. So I just bought a generic package of plastic. That wasn't such a good idea, it ripped in about two days. So I was just wondering, what kind of hardwood floor covering is it? Can someone link me on the web to what kind I should get, because I don't mind ordering it online. Like I said, I've followed all the instructions on the DDR Freak website, it's just that I'm missing the hardwood floor covering which seems to be hard to find. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your talking about a soft pad ( which i'm almost sure you are ) its cheaper to just get some plywood that can fit the size of the pad ( like 33"x35" ( inches if " is wrong >< )) and just staple the border material to the edge, ive had mine for about 2 months, the actual board still slips with the pad, but not so much, and only on 8 and 9 footers ( heavy ), and the sensitivity is alot better, and about that hardwood covering... iono riiight.gif; thats why i did what i did to my pad

I've asked the same question long time ago and I do not know the name of it in the "real world". Just get the Red Octane Cover [from this website] and use duct tape over the DDR pad. With this cover, you could play shoes with the cover on happy.gif [it's worth it].

However this is good with Ignition pad. If you are going to play Heavily with soft pad, I highly suggest against it [even with the cover on].

Well I was just lucky. BuynShop used to have those covers but they always sold out. I think it's because they could play it with their shoes =p.
