Best pads?

I'm trying to decide what are the best pads to get. I'm trying to decide between the Arcade Box TX-2000 ($415 for 2, shipped) or the Red Octane metal pads (about $215 each). Also, I could get the Arcade Box TX-1000 (seems to just be missing the poles from the TX-2000 version) for about $230 for 2 shipped. What are the quality of these pads, which ones should I get? Are there any other metal ones that are good?

Also, I'm looking to get some hard pads that I can use to transport to others' houses. My friend used to have the MyMyBox Premium pads, which seemed very good. I hear that the Red Octane Ignition pads are good, too. What's a good, moderately priced, hard pad?

There are threads for the TX-2000, the TX-1000, the Redoctane Metal Pad, and the Redoctane Ignition Pads.
