Has anyone tried the Innex v2.0 PS2 pads? Here's the manufacturer's page, and pads on eBay from seller gamezforless.
I'm looking for a pad with a smooth & shiny top surface, and not-too-thick inserts under each of the arrows. I anticipate that the Innex 2.0 pads do not have hard foam, so I would add my own hard foam inserts.
My last pad was a DDR Nation 2.0 pad, and it was perfect for me once I added some Level Six hard foam and a thin layer of soft foam on top of that (cut from the bottom of another "non-slip" pad). The DDR Nation pads were about $50 for two shipped on eBay. They lasted about a year each in heavy play. Before that, I used Cyphergames 2.0-style pads which were very similar. Unfortunately I can't find 2.0-style pads from DDR Nation or Cyphergames anymore.
I tried newer Level Six pads (v3.1?) with a textured top, and I didn't like them. The textured surface was too slippery when playing in socks. The inserts under the arrows were too thick and stiff, so it took to much pressure to activate the switches. |
