I am looking to built a pad based on Devout Stealth homepad for my XBOX. What would be the easiest XBOX controller to use? I am planning to build two pads at once, so i'll probably be buying my controllers on eBay.
I do have three softpads available to me, so i can rip those up too.
Any link to threads with tutorials are greatly appreciated.

just use the softpad's circuitry. it's a bunch easier to just do it that way, believe me.

I don't have a diagram but I can help. Just solder a wire to each contact and touch it to the ground, which is always the big one in the middle, and see which does what. Ok it's not much help, but oh well.

Slightly simpler answer: solder one wire to the ground and touch it to each sensor. For that matter you don't even need to solder it... just take a short length of wire and touch it to each sensor and the ground.

well... you'll probably find that despite all the tutorials, homepad building is largely an ad hoc process. The things that are the most troublesome are often the little fine-tunings that make your pad unique.
