Suggestion for Machine Locations

Have you ever considered adding a comment box underneath the 1-10 rating? Users could post more specific things about the machines (i.e. sticking pads, glare on the screen from light, bad screen, blown out speakers, too loud, too quiet, etc.)

It could also be used to give "shout outs" to your friends, and to flame other people, as well as adding a bunch of ridiculously stupid messages.

For some reason my brain isn't working 100% right now, but I can't remember if we actually ever had it or not. I do remember the 1-10 rating system because we didn't want stuff like that to happen. We've had this suggestion come up before and the reply always was that it would give us yet MORE stuff we'd have to keep an eye on.

I think we did have this, but it was removed. Probably because of abuse.

I think it'd be good if users could be more specific about why they rated a location what they did, though. Something like a checklist, where they could check whatever conditions apply to the location, like "Bad pad on 1P side" or "Lots of kids". That way they could still tell us why they rated it like they did, and we don't have a problem with inappropriate comments.

Great idea! That's what I was thinking before I scrolled down to read the idea. Individual pad checklists would be great but probably a little impractical. One thing that should be added as a selection though, is whether the machine is unlocked or not. (SAKURA, etc.)

this idea can cause flaming. like if someone posted and said that the machine is located in that area and they lied , so that we dont get to play ddr. ok bad grammer. working on it.
