I apologize ahead of time if this post doesn't belong here, but I have searched the better part of 2 days through all the messages about dance pad problems and hadn't seen anything like this listed yet.

I already know the pad isn't of a great type or anything and have heard nothing good posted about it here. However, that being what it is...here is what we got.

I have a Topway TP-DC128 pad. This is basically one of their hard plastic types like they have the for PS but for the DC. And is different in that all the buttons er..arrow actually are wired for some function.

The problem is simply this. The pad actually works just fine when selecting the menu options and such in DDR 2 Remix for the DC. But when actually playing the game, the left arrow will never register as being hit. However, in the menus, this arrow is the most sensitive one on the entire pad and requires little to activate it when selecting the menu choices?

At this point since it acts this way in all controller ports I tested it on, I am suspecting that some resistance value for the left hand side isn't being read correctly for the actual gameplay to see it? But it is fine when in the menus selecting game choices?

Any ideas? I have found nothing on the web regarding anything about Topway ever making this pad for the DC. But it does look just like the PS hard plastic ones that they sell currently. Only it is made for the DC specifically.

What does your pad look like? Is it black with colored buttons?

Daniel,

Yes the pad I am talking about is the hard plastic black with the blue circular arrow buttons, and yellow and orange buttons on the diagonals. Which on this DC model of the pad are the B and A buttons at the top and the triggers left and right on the bottom. So all eight buttons have a switch under them on my pad Vs the PS model which apparenty does not.

Anyway, as I stated before, the left arrow works great when selecting menu items in the game, just like a standard controller. But when you actually start a song and try to play, the left arrow never registers... Very weird as I haven't seen something work in part of the game just fine, and then not work at all in gameplay?

i can think of one thing that would make it do that, but im probably wayyyyy off on this one. my guess is that whatever keeps the button's sensors apart slipped or something, causing the steps to register easier. but if that were true, then the song selction screen would continuously be scrolling istead of the button being extra sensitive.

prbably didnt help much, but thats the only thing i can think of. *shrug*
