ok. whats more embarrasing in your opinions?

1) you go to the arcade to practice for an upcoming tourney in which you will FS. during practice, you get a huge crowd but keep going anways. you decide to try to pull off...... lets say a matrix walk. halfway in the air, your shoe loses grip and your hand slips and you fal on the pad on your stomach. everybody sees and of course you feel bad.

2)the exact same thing except youre at the tourney. youve paracticed plenty and youre doing your routine. like the first thing, you pull off the matrix walk and fall on your ribs.

my question, besides the first sentence is:would it be more embarrasing to mess up in front of ppl who dont know that much about ddr or in front of ppl who play and would at least give you some respect for trying?

I think it'd be more embarassing to do it in front of strangers.

At least the vets could understand.

It's bad and embarassing in either place, but when worst comes to worst, screwing up in a tourney is worse. Why? Because you're missing out on placing and getting the prize(s).

i was playing in front of strangers one time, wearing these chunky high heel shoes. decided to freestyle (bad idea..), completely tripped of the bad, fell flat on my ass, and failed the song. super embarassing, people started to laughed, and i left. i got over it, and i still show up in that arcade.

to answer your question, id say in front of strangers, cause they're mean.

I think you should be embarassed for doing something as stupid, disrespectful, and destructive as a matrix walk.

Second, supposedly you've practiced or prepared for the tourney, it is much worse to screw up when it counts. Screwing up just playing in an arcade for fun, who cares?

Rules:
1) Don't Matrix Walk
2) Don't Suck.

First of all, why you practicing your freestyle routine in public? Potential competitors could be there, potential judges could be there, and your surprises are given away. Just practicing in public is a no-no because it can be used against you in so many ways you can't even dream of.

Second of all, don't ever, EVER, matrix walk.

Equally embarrasing.

I'd say if you slip or fall or make a mistake unintentionally at a tournament its a bad thing, because it could be the big thing between whether you win or lose. People will give you props for just getting up there and perform, but you get remembered for your slip up.

But still...DON"T EVER matrix walk.

If you knew someone was gonna say something about the matrix walk, why did you say it in the first place?

because its a more embarrasing move when f****ed up and makes a better example besides those who take it too seriously.

It's just as equally embarrassing as someone actually attempting to do the matrix walk, yet alone messing it up. NO ONE does the matrix walk. And if they do, they deserve to be shot and hung by their toenails.

Messing up at a tournament is worse than infront of a random crowd.

Look at it this way... the random crowd won't have video cameras they will connect to their computer and host the video of you busting your ass on the pad. People at a tournament will... That way they can watch it over and over and over again with the whole family.

But there probably isn't anything worse than messing up infront of a bunch of attractive [Insert Opposite Sex]...
