What do you guys think? Do you think it would be a good training method for your legs? They can make it really harsh and make them play crazy songs without stopping.

Lol, talk about Irony...

In SM alpha 3.9 b20 there is a slight deviation in the normal skin on oni courses... ((At least at home))

"Forget oni mode! Join the army..."

But I'm not sure, I don't think the army... would find much use for in-place running...

Actually I think that DDR should only be used "In The Navy" huhu
I don't think they'd find much use in it. You only start aquiring substantial extra leg strength and leg mass when you play it almost constantly.

No.

If the drill sergeants wanted to strengthen your legs, they have at their disposal a plethora of fun, exciting, excruciating exercises that they can force you to do.

Try this one: Mule/donkey kicks. Jump up and try to kick your butt with both of your feet. Do it again. And again. And again. No stopping because you are tired or because it hurts or because you are going to pass out!

Or for an upper-body work out: Over-head claps. Hold your arms straight out to your sides, palms up, and then swing your arms up and clap your hands above your head, and then bring them back down to the starting position. No bending your elbows! Two claps counts as one repetition. Try 100 forced reps with no breaks. Fun!

I've been in the army for a couple years, so this stuff is funny to me.

Or you could do the tried-and-true method of actually running. You think coaches in the NFL use Madden to help their players? I doubt it.

I'm sorry, but DDR is the most effective way I've lost weight and gained muscle when it comes to PT. ESPECIALLY in the legs.

That doesn't separate it from the fact that its a game.

I obviously wasn't talking about the fact that it's a game; It's clearly a game. I was stating the fact he said:

And how he is wrong. How that's the most effective way I've gained leg muscles through PT.

It could help you to move faster. We played dodgeball in gym once after I had been playing for a while and it actually helped me dodge the balls because I could move quicker. In like boot camp though isn't part of the point to torture you almost. Don't they try to make you feel really miserable and scream at you all the time? DDR is fun so I don't think they would ever use it

Yes to everything about Boot Camp. But I was saying, for physical training, DDR is amazing and helps more then anything else I've tried to gain muscle and lose weight.
