It's not like Eye Toy Groove AT ALL!
PPP is a PARA Dancing simulator. It's a dead dance in japan, thats about it. You dont just wave your hands, you do some weird routines.

If parapara is dead in Japan then why are their clubs still hosting parapara nights and releasing videos with routines on them. Just because it is not as big as it was 3 years ago doesn't mean that it is dead. |

i agree w/ fighter....and besides, Para Para is actually making a comeback....
but to stick w/ the topic question:
Para Para is a japanese style of dancing which developed in the 70's w/ disco. It does mainly consist of upper body movements, but some leg movement is also involved in some songs. Basically in a nutshell, its like linedancing but every eurobeat song(the genre para para is mostly danced to) has a specific routine that was choerographed by Para Para night clubs and they are taught @ the night clubs themselves. And the game is a simulator of the dance, because as you dance along to the routines on-screen, your arms go over the sensors of the special Para Para Paradise controller.

Yes, it seems you are already taking an aggressive stance towards a game that you've never played.
Like Ix3 said, that's how the arrows are stationed. You are surrounded by sensors (only the front work I assume). If an arrow reads (sorry I can't use ur arrows Ix3, I'm kinda in a hurry), then you stick your up in front of you. I'm not sure how the exact hand motion goes, but you don't HAVE to know how to para para to play the game. Heck, I just throw in wild arm motions and I seem to do really well, although it's best to freestyle to it. Anyway, the only complaints I have about the game is that it (the one we have) is limited in song selection. But otherwise, I enjoy it and it's definitely a great game to play while waiting for the DDR line to go down.
PS: If you're homophobic, you might want to watch someone play the game before you play. People tend to think it's a little more... happy than ddr. |

Seriously. The first instance of the word gay in this thread comes from YOUR post.
Furthermore, he said a homophobic person might want to stay away. Now, I'm well aware of the definition of homophobia. But think about this for a second. You can say that colors can't be gay, and I'll agree with you. But I'll be damned if I don't run into a homophobic guy who hates pink and purple, or is at least uncomfortable with those colors. The colors themselves may not be gay, the motions themselves may not be gay, the cabinet itself may not be gay. But the fact remains that a homophobic person may be averse to playing the game, simply it's because what he would perceive as gay.
Did Fr0sty call the game gay? Nope.
Call it a problem with society, whatever. Whatever you want to do, just calm down. People are way too apt to jump onto the "HOW CAN X HAVE SAME SEX TENDENCIES??!??!" defense.
Because, I mean, if we're playing the overreaction game, I can start saying that you're not respecting the sexual preferences of those males who have been raped by other males. |

actually i love para para i feal like i am dancing with some hot girl when i am para paraing... its fun and sexy, not to mention unlike ddr when you see a hot girl that wants to try it out you can get realy close and move her arms for her... its realy sexy.
