I searched all the other posts and couldn't find anyone with my problem. I have the Cobalt Flux with the EMS USB 2.0 adapter hooked into my PC's USB port (which is a 1.2 GHZ AMD w/ a GeForce 2 card and 1/2 gig of RAM running Windows 2000.)

I have Dance Dance Revolution for the PC, StepMania & Dance With Intensity. They all work great with the Cobalt Flux dance pad except for once thing which is what my problem is: the cursor in each program that points to the submenu you want to select (in ALL the menus) is going REALLY FAST from top to bottom. It goes so fast I can't even make a selection. If I DON'T have the dance pad connected then the problem goes away entirely and the cursor acts normally. But then, of course, my pad isn't connected at that point. And if I just try to plug it back in while the program is still running it won't recognize the pad, so I have to quit and restart the program and then the problem comes back again.

What do I need to do to fix this? Anyone have any suggestions? New drivers maybe for some devices? All my Windows 2000 updates are downloaded and installed, by the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It might be a problem with the pad. Sometimes that happens with my soft pad. I know that's different but the problem could be along that line. Try stepping on either the left or right button and see if it stops. If it does then the computer thinks that the arrow is being held down.

Stepping on the up or down arrow (or any other arrow) will make the constant downward scrolling stop for that instant but then it will continue scrolling downward as it was before.

This is interesting...I noticed that this trivia game I have was doing the same thing with constant downward scrolling in its menu. Just now I realized it has only been happening since I got the pad. When it is unplugged the trivia game menu acts normally. So the problem only happens in any program when the pad is connected.

So, I can't figure out if it is a PC problem or a dance pad problem. I don't have any console systems so I can't try the pad with them to see if it is just an EMS USB 2.0 adapter problem. Would a new adapter work? I have this one set to "PC" as it should be. I am at a loss. Any other suggestions are welcome.
