The case for:
- It feels good
- less chance of blisters happening
- you don't have that shoe weight on your feet
- Shoes create friction. Friction heats up your feet. Your feet and your head are the main temperature points of the body. You do the math.
The case against:
- Cuts, bruises, blood, etc.
- If you cut yourself, you're stepping on millions of foot-germs from other people's feet and shoes
- Tripping hurts a lot worse if you stub your toe in the process
- If your feet even give you a hint of sweat, you might trip and fall.
Come to your own conclusions. Give some other cases for/against.

nay
and also... you dont get that friction that good-soled shoes give you so you can bounce to the next arrow. Quite essential when double-steping. _________________

Is it just me or does it seem like more females play barefooted than males? _________________

Nay, you'd probably cut yourself, I don't want to step in someones blood thank you very much.
Also, a thing for them,
Do you really want to step in places where other peoples sneakers were? and they were sweating (sweat on me usually drops on the pad sometimes but i usually get out a paper towel out of my pocket and mop it up, (carries a paper towel with me at all times when dancing))
Anyhow, as i said, Nay, it is indeed not a good idea to dance barefooted. _________________

This would go in the Arcade forum.
Also, some places won't let you if they serve food. For example, a female friend of mine used to always play barefoot, but she was just told recently that she needs to stop because they're planning on serving food in the arcade soon, and so there are health problems. The whole "no shirt no shoes no service" type thing. _________________
