|
|
Imagine if this game was an actual dance floor simulator, complete with virtual reality gear. There would be more innovative sensor placement and thoughtful, well-made, choreographed charts to play. A national tournament for this would be wonderful. I know I'm probably just dreaming, but I think if such a game existed, the scene/community would be something different from DDR's altogether, and it could potentially be much more mainstream. What if a dance simulation game really could simulate dancing? Haha, I know this sounds silly... it was a crazy idea to begin with, but just bear with me now... What do you think it would be called? Break Dance Revolution (BDR?). Haha. Or not. If only such a thing existed... anything to revive the FS scene.
So, how does that sound? If you guys have any other crazy ideas, please be my guest and share them.
Thanks. |

I have no idea what they're talking about...but if it's anything like most of the Virtual Reality games I've seen, it would mean you can't see the arcade around you...and that could be bad because you can't tell if people are laughing at you or not. _________________

I wouldnt really call this an idea but me and my friend matt were talking about the evolution of DDR into a 40 panel dance pad... and getting made fun of for losing at it...
asian guy: "hey whiterice... what wrong? you cant make the combo from step 1 - 14 - 28 by using your hands to hit 14 and frog leaping to 28... ahahaha... you so funny"
Me and Matt: *pant, cough, wheese* _________________

Break Dance Revolution...that's one of the cooler names I've heard for a future game in a while . The problem, however, is the learning curve difference. It's relatively easy to learn to step on four arrow sensors to a beat, but to learn how to dance is a much more involved task (and I have seriously been convinced that some people are just plain incable of it ). Nonetheless I would like to see some kind of dancing game that is more innovative in it's approach. Right now, all of them are "see input, mash buttons" (the technicalities being whether you mash them with your hands our your feet, whether they are buttons or turntables, etc). _________________
