It would be nice to play 3rd Mix Korean v2 again. But I'd rather have an arcade with different mixes of IIDX, GF&DM, Pop'n, etc. _________________

I think it would rock personally! Notice my thread about the only thing I want to play is DDR in an Arcade, that's why.... _________________

There is an arcade devoted to nothing but music games, but it doesn't have quite every DDR machine ever. It's in Tennessee somewhere. _________________

I agree, but I'd also like to have DDR in there, too. PIU, also.

Dance Beat Arcade is what you're thinking of. It has non-music games, too, though, just mostly music games. I've heard that it's pretty darn cool. It's a few hours away from me, though, so I haven't yet gone. _________________

I was given a chance to go to DBA a couple months ago, but I was broke at the time, and I imagine being surrounded by all those games without cash would be a very effective form of self-abuse. _________________

Just make sure you have soundproof rooms for each of them, or an arcade twice the size of my house. _________________

It would be kol but you would have to put it in a place where there are a lot of DDRers and add some music games and some other non-music for people that are just getting into it. _________________

what about an arcade with two of every mix/style of every konami music game for a quarter each? this would include dancing stage mixes, IIDX, guitar freaks, etc. that would be the best arcade. _________________

It would be pretty sweet to do that, I was thinking of that myself. But one downside to that, I think, is, wouldn't it be pretty loud? I mean, all the DDR machines ever made? You'd have to put them pretty loud to attract more players. Thts my opinion anyway. |

It wouldn't make nearly enough money to survive. For example, if you took 50 people and had them all go to the arcade at once, you would still need 6 more people just to have one person per machine. Then, let's assume that each machine costs $1,000 (some of the newer ones cost lots more than that). If you gave them each $100 and they spent it all on their one machine, you would need to have all those people there at once, each with $100 TEN TIMES just to pay the machines off. That's without electricity, any fixing of the pads, and no pay for any employees. Now, there may not even be 50 people in a region that would be able to regularly come and play DDR, and they may not even have $100 to spend each time. So it would take that much longer just to pay the machines off.
Now, if you had two machines TOTAL, the situation would be a lot different
Sure, it's a cool idea, but so not financially feasible that it would never happen. _________________
