Every week in America, another innocent DDR machine is upgraded to Extreme. Chances are, as you are reading this, another Kick the Can has just kicked the can, another Bye Bye Baby Balloon has just gone bye bye forever, another The Whistle Song has blown its last.
To the arcade owners of America: We already know where we can play Extreme! Do not add more! Extreme only represents half of the wonderful songs that Konami has provided us; do not hunt down the rest into extinction! Do not upgrade our Bumblebees, our In the Navys, and our Faces into extinction. Please!

Uh....we don't control the machines, yo. Venting your frustration on us does absolutely nothing.
As for myself, I like Extreme. Sure, I miss Trance de Janerio, when I'm in an arcade with only Extreme...but as far as the Whistle Song goes, I would be that much happier if that song had just never been made. In my opinion, Extreme has enough good songs on it that it makes up for it.
Also a song selection of < 100 songs gets a little old after a long day at the arcade - I frequently feel as though MAX2 just gets kinda stale sometimes. Playing on an Extreme machine, which has over twice the songs, can be a good refresher.
Perhaps I'm biased, because of the three arcades I've visted more than once, all three have MAX2. I've played on an Extreme machine a grand total of three times, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself all three times.
....and after all, what are simulators for, anyway? _________________

This may be off, but I think as a vivid member, he is in someway related to the arcade industry, which means he's probably already told his local arcade and is just trying to get other people to do the same.
Anyway, I have to say I like extreme...as crappy as the hardware is, there are plenty of songs on there to keep me occupied, and while some of the older songs are better, that's what I have Stepmania for. _________________

HERE HERE!
Everywhere i go, there is a DDREX or DDRMAX2. The only time i can find a 4th mix, is if i play a solo 4th. Even at that, they are the *ASIAN* solo 4th mixes. (missing songs from japaneese). _________________
