The foot rating

Wouldn't it make more sense if the member rating went "Light, Standard, Heavy" and the "Challenge" status was for the moderators? Like when a user registers, there status is "Light". After say, 100 posts, they recieve the "Standard" rating. Once there post count has reached say, 300 posts. They revieve the "Heavy" rating. As for when a member becomes a moderator, they have the purple "Challenge" rating. Think about it.

Plus making the rankings based on posts would encourage postwhoring. The systems fine as it is anyway.

Mod - one step above normal members

Admin - one step above mods

Having mods and admins seperated out into maniac and challenge makes sense to me. And as has already been mentioned; any form of ranking that would be post-count dependent would be a bad idea because post-whoring makes moderators cry ;_;

To recap:

--Most of the mods are old school; we like the older names; the new ones can be insulting.

--We're not basing ANYTHING off of postcount only. EVER. That would be dumb on our parts. Right now you have to have 25 posts (I believe) and then a certain period of time before you become Trick. There is a time limit to it, so you can't just postwhore your way to Trick member. We like to discourage stupidity here, not make it thrive.

I, for one, agree with having the foot ratings being based on post count alone. That way, people would postwhore, and you could then ban those members who wanted so hard to become trick/maniac/stupid members that they posted in every single thread on the site. It would thin out the stupid members and leave only those of us who are here to discuss, and don't give a rat's ass about our postcounts or member status.

i would like to see a more vivid array of foot and tiltles... but i dislike post whoring... how bout time on the forum?

like 1 - 5 years going from buginer to Challange ? that way it donst insite post whoring but does insite people to stay with the site a while?
