I just got a brand new ignition pad online, but the start buttons stuck, so I autofail. I don't want to exchange it because of shipping fees and time (2 weeks!) Is there anyway to fix it? |

well, i suppose the only way to really tell is to open it. I would cut a small hole on the inside of it, DON'T CUT THE PAPER UNDER THE PLASTIC. and take a look, its probably bad foam in between the sensors... Tho you might want to wait and see what other people say about this first... because i'm not *always* right...
You COULD always slash the sensor and disable the start button. _________________

Or cut the wire from the start button and rewire it with a push button from radio shack Soft pads aren't very complicated devices. |

If you go to radio shack, the push buttons are are called "momentary switches"
Specifically, STSP Momentary Switches. _________________

when your looking at the inside of the control box, with the contact points facing you, its the far left contact that is the start button, you want to cut the wire currently there, that will disconnect the start button. then you would solder a wire to that contact point on the circuit and one wire to the ground, those wires you will solder to the momentary switch, remember to leave the other wires still connected to the circuit board tho. _________________

Im getting kinda desperate and annoyed. I'm having friends over soon. Is there anyway to fix the pad. I cut a wire and then it stopped working. Also, this piece of glue fell out when I opened it. |
