SO I play DDR on a regular basis right? Well, recently, I've gotten what doctors have called a heer spur in my right foot, so I laid off DDR for a week or so. However, my foot didn't get any better, so I figured it isn't from the DDR. So I've been sparingly playing it and it's been getting worse - could it be from DDR, if so, it this permanent, or is it from a new pair of shoes I got before all this started happening?
Heer spur = sharp pain in the back of your foot for those who didn't know _________________

There's a very good chance it is from DDR, but you'll never know for sure.
Either way, this is an abnormal bone growth, so it's not the kind of thing that's going to go away in a week. Your foot will either adjust to it in time, or you may require anti-inflammatories (either oral or injections) and if it becomes severe, surgery would be required. Also, depending upon your foot (eg if you have flat feet), shoe inserts might be helpful. Your doctor has to determine that. |

You just have to let it heal back, probably a few weeks at most. Just play on the ball of your foot. _________________

Very bad advice. A heel spur is caused by a separation of the soft tissue from the bone at the heel... doing something like playing DDR on the balls of your feet would cause far more separation than playing flat footed. |
