To play Stepmania on the mat, do you need anything besides Stepmania, USB Adapter (SmartJoy PLUS), and a DDR Mat?

Depends what kind of pad you have.

If you have a cheap Topway pad, get the drivers from the BNS websitebuynshop.com.

If you have an Ignition/DX-Xtreme, I don't think u would need any special drivers other than the ones that came with the adapter.

depends less on the kind of pad than you think. you need to make sure you use the up+start+select code though.
