If you're new to DDR Freak, a hearty welcome. We hope you enjoy your time here.

There's a lot of ground that can be covered when it comes to topics that fit in DDR Console Games, so the moderators do their best to try to keep it organized and trim as possible, so that you can get your information as quickly as possible.

Here are some ground rules you must read before posting here:

#1 - Read the Forums FAQ. These are the rules we expect you to follow while using our forums.

#2 - Read the Sticky: thread titles before you post. The sticky threads are there for commonly discussed topics. If you post something that belongs in a sticky, we will lock your post. FURTHERMORE, before you post in a Sticky: thread, READ THE FIRST TWO POSTS OF THAT STICKY THREAD. They will always contain a summary of the most current relevant information concerning the topic of that sticky. You don't have to read the whole thread...Just the first two posts and the last page or two is fine.

#3 - No "N-gage DDR", "Nintendo DS DDR", "PS3 DDR", "Xbox 360 DDR", "Nintendo Revolution DDR", "PSP DDR", "Gizmondo DDR", or whatever. (period) Unless Konami makes an official announcement regarding a DDR game coming to any platform where it doesn't already exist, you're not to discuss it here. This forum is for games that actually exist or *will* exist. If you want to talk about the DDR version you dream about late at night, we have DDR Chit-Chat for that.

#4 - No songlist request threads. Again, see DDR Chit-Chat for a long-running thread. We will occasionally make a call for an organized request thread at Konami's behest, but until then, these threads are not allowed here.

#5 - No "Nth Mix Vs. Jth Mix" threads. We have the Songlists and FAQs pages for a reason. Look there, compare the songlists, and make the decision for yourself. We do *not* need every possible permutation of Vs. threads for all the different DDR versions out there.

#6 - No piracy discussion. (period) There's a very thin line that can be drawn here between legitimate and illegitimate discussion. Talking about modchips and imports is fine. Talking about playing your burned copy of DDR 9nd Mix that you downloaded off LimeDonksterMX++ will get you warned.

#7 - No simulator discussion. (period) If someone is breaking rule #5, your response should *NOT* be "Forget that, get Stepmania/DWI/pyDDR/FlashFlashRevolution/DelightDelightReduplication/etc. and download all the songs." We have a dedicated forum for Simulator discussion, so take it there.

#8 - Don't take things personally. We're trying to be the most informative and friendly site out there for DDR-related discussion. If we lock your thread or tell you something in a "moderator" tone-of-voice, step back, listen to what we have to say, and consider our point of view. If you disagree with a policy, then take it up in Site Feedback. We'll listen to what you have to say if you'll listen to what we have to say. Everyone's here to learn and have fun, and as long as what you're doing doesn't infringe on that, we'll probably be fine with it.

#9 - Controller/pad questions go in the Bemani Controllers forum. READ THE "START HERE" THREAD BEFORE YOU POST THERE.

#10 - In The Groove is a great game, sure, but it's not DDR, and it has it's own forum for discussion thereof. It's fine if you talk about it here with relation to DDR, but don't threadjack a DDR topic into an ITG one, and keep your fanboyism/fangirlism to yourself.

#11 - No accomplishments threads here. There's one in Gameplay for generic accomplishments. Just because it was done on a console doesn't make it special. In fact, it makes it *less* special, because the timing windows on home versions are often more lenient than the arcade.

#12 - And as a general rule, taking a generic Gameplay topic and slapping a "consoles" label on it doesn't make it any less of a Gameplay topic. So don't do it.

#13 - NO, YOU CANNOT ADD SONGS TO A DDR GAME.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM any of the moderators listed at the top of the DDR Console Games forum listing.
