It has got to be the biggest rip-off for DDR AND Pump that i've seen. The only thing that it does have going for it is the 8 arrow mode (OMG!!) and all those play modes. More songs are needed tho. _________________

Actually Techno Motion is by a company called F2 which did some work for AM on PIU on one mix called Perfect Collection. They even did some original songs of their own for PIU. This is why you'll find some PIU songs on TM. I have to agree, it was a great idea gone horribly wrong. It didn't last long in arcades since it was avoided like the plague _________________

I played it once when I stopped at a mall on a road trip. I thought the game was ok but I would rather play DDR or Pump than play Technomotion.
If it was all there was to play in the area, I would still play it a lot because it would be better than what I have now which is no local DDR machines. |

I played TechnoMotion at Excalibur at Las Vegas since they only got that and Pump. I personally like it (since you can switch in between 4, 5, and 8 arrow in the middle of the song, its fun ^^) and some of the tracks are very fun (Cordiality and Staring at the Sun for example).
But, there isn't much time to choose a song (15 seconds IS NEVER ENOUGH) and the grading curve is EXTREMELY steep. Five misses and you basically fail -_-.

DDR 3rd was by far the the toughest rating system!! IMO It was like 3 misses and you're gone. lol Technomotion was teh sux cause it had all of 4 good songs outta ... what .... 10 songs?! Booo for the creators. But I do agree that changing from 4 to 5 to 8 buttons in the middle of the song is fun! lol _________________

Since thats tha only dancing game in a arcade here, thats all we got. Personally, it is a handicapped DDR. Its way too easy. My friends and I mastered it within a few weeks. Tha owners of tha bowling alley(where tha game is located) said they were going 2 replace it with a DDR machine since tha 1st player side is busted up, but they never did i and i dont think they will. |

I don't see why people hate this game...
It is not a PIU or DDR knock of simply because - Well why would the Konami, Andamiro and F2 Systems logo be on the banner... because there must have been some agreement to allow them to do it.... or they all worked on it together... but if you happen to know Korean you can probably easily stick a lot more songs and steps on it... because the Pump it Up Extra disc had a Technomotion dev kit left on it...
I like the songs that I have heard from TM.... and I think it'd go nicely in an arcade... provided someone around here who knows Korean helped me modify it to include more songs from PIU and DDR... lol .... it may have a small song list but new mixes of DDR and PIU have small songlists too... as in so little that I actually like... sure it has a little bit for everyone... but still not nearly enough... ok maybe 248 songs is enough for some but I haven't even bothered playing a lot of the stuff on DDR Extreme.... due to that grid thing not being filled up enough.... and the mixes of PIU here.... I've played everything on them at least ONCE! ok maybe not everything but most of the stuff... so when I play PIU or DDR I play one of my usual sets of songs out of 20 or 40 which is probably what TM has - 20 or more. |

TM actually has better songs than I remember, albeit not many. A lot of it is Korean Hip Hop, but its a nice change from the usual music in DDR and some of the songs in PIU.
And the way I see it: 30 songs x 3 different ways to play x 4 different modes of play (single, double, couple, versus, off the top of my head, forget if there's more) x 4 difficulities (Easy, Medium, Hard, and the hidden Expert. Again, off the top of my head) + the mods such as Bus, Drunken, Crazy (which are the mods I'm pretty sure can't be found in DDR or PIU) + the ability to switch in between 4, 5, and 8 arrows in the middle of a song = A lot of variety (its a complicated permutation problem I rather not get into -_-)
On the other hand, DDR has many songs and seems more classic. And PIU (still my favorite) always had those triple arrow steps that always bring me back ^^.
So all in all, TM is just another dancing game, not a rip off of other games. It's actually quite different. I'll still love all three and the rest of the fun rhythm games out there.
One little tidbit: TM has a song that both DDR and PIU had at one point: Starian. I found that kind of interesting...

I didnt think about the songs on their. The last song on the hard difficulty by NEXT is pretty challenging and the Offspring song "Staring at the sun" is pretty challenging also |
