I would like to say farewell to two techno motion machines taken from here to far away lands, and to my loved seventh mix. You sat in the corner of the skatepark. Now bare and lonely, but then so happy and joyful. You were like a brother. With arrows on your face, and thumping bass for a heartbeat. Serve your customers well in the big arcade in the sky...

My beloved 3rd Mix Plus died and was reincarnated. It's now a Max2.

Sometimes, when I see it...I can almost still hear Ba Kkwo playing.

The left side of our extreme machine already has one foot in the grave, but luckily the right side still going strong.

Not only did I have to say goodbye to my beloved DDR Max2 machine, but they shut down THE ENTIRE ARCADE!!! Goodbye, 7th mix...

I remember when I first played on that machine, it was a song called 'Ever Snow.' And there was this guy named... uh... well anyway, I remember when I first tried standard, when I first tried heavy... when I played Orion.78 and stupidly thought I could handle it (passed with a 'C' though), when I cried because I found out it was gone...

Ah, Memories... E13.gif

Rest in peace, DDR Max2. (Why do I feel so silly saying that?)

Ah, yes... The arcade where it all began for me recently pitched both of their machines to make room for "new and better" games. The beloved and rare 6th Mix departed for a new life somewhere up north. It's probably an Extreme by now. Typical. As for the 4th Mix... she came home with me E13.gif.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Hearing songs from the mix the machine was before it got upgraded. Hearing Stomp to My Beat on Max 2. Yeah, I've been there.

I'd like to pay my respects to a badly reincarnated machine...

She was a 7th Mix at XS Orlando...I spent a lot of my days as a Beginner, stumbling to pass songs, but then later passing such songs as Max 300 Beginner and Light, B4U Light and Standard, and Witch Doctor Light, among others...

Now they've replaced her with a bootleg DDR Megamix. E2.gif

The bowling alley near my place has a DDR machine that died, reincarnated, died again, then reincarnated again, then I think that pretty soon the machine will depart once again. I still remember it's past lives: 3rd Mix-->7th Mix-->then finally 8th Mix, or actually Megamix (Is Megamix even an official Mix?). It's only a matter of time now 'till it's gone, since the screen is getting busted. E2.gif

Well, we once had a 6th Mix. Then it left. But...oh wait, what's this? Could it be? YES! It's DDRMAX 2. Max was fun, but MAX 2 was fun(ner?). Then bye bye Max2. But...oh wait, what's this? Could it be? YES! It's DDR Extreme!

It's just too bad and unfortunate I don't live in Japan, where the game is completely dead and machines are droppin like flies.

i have a veteran at my arcade.....
the machine started as a DDR usa mix.....when usa first came out
then they upgraded the machine to 4th+ then they upgraded the machine to max2
and about a little over a year ago, they upgraded to extreme.
still in the same cabinet and still going strong.

Heh, well my local place still has it's 5th, 6th and Extreme and all in good working order. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.

The same thing happened to the Max2 machine at the skating rink... Megamix, give me a break! How could they do that?! As if that in itself wasn't bad enough, the sound's so royally screwed up, you can hear only one of the speakers! You can hardly hear the words at all! It's like this:
---------------------------
Hey oh Captain Jack!

Hey oh Captain Jack!

Bring me back to the railroad track!

Bring me back to the railroad track!
---------------------------
It was torture to have to endure that for FOUR HOURS because my little niece's birthday party was there! disgust.gif
