As you know, videos have been down for a while again, and I'm looking for mirrors so this doesn't happen again. If you have a good connection with good bandwidth, please let me know. I'm talking at least 10mbits constant bandwidth. If your ISP offers you "unlimited bandwidth", or if it measures bandwidth usage by GB/mo, you don't have enough for DDR Freak's needs. I'm willing to work with your needs. If you need advertising in exchange for hosting, we can work something out.

I expect it will be approximately a week after someone posts something worthwhile in this thread.
(Excluding me, of course)
And I really should point out the selfishness of your post. It's like you're saying "Sorry I can't help you pay for the gas, but how much longer until you can come pick me up?"
If you don't have something helpful to add in this thread, then please don't post here.

About 3TB in 3 weeks. Each video is about 5-10 MB each.

Okay, I've been thinking. The videos have been down for quite a long time by now. I'm sure plenty of people want to have access to them again. I may be able to host the videos for you.
I have a dedicated server. It's on a 100Mbit unmetered port. 2.4Ghz server with 512MB of ram. 3Gb backbone. I'm almost positive it could take an extra 4TB of transfer every month.
If you think this is sufficient for your needs, I'll most likely decide to host the videos for you. |

| Have you ever considered using Bittorrent? It would definately help save on bandwith (since we are talking about video downloads). Instead of just having one server host all the video files, once others download them and *if* they keep their torrents up after download, then they'll be able to help spread the videos as well, so instead of everyone just feeding off of one central server, they'll be feeding off other users. I would be glad to help with the seeding of those torrents. |

| I'm just throwing out options. I don't have a powerful server to deal out all the videos, but I know I can definately do my part if bittorrent is used. |

You're missing the point. >.>
We don't have a problem hosting trackers. We have a problem with people seeding the downloads so that more than five people will actually be able to download the damn things.

I dont see how it could hurt to see how well bittorrent actually works. It's not like the site will lose anything if the idea fails. I say give it a shot. Start with one video (and make it a nice one, of say, and old school freestyle), and add more from there as the idea continues to work.

I would gladly do so as well except maybe Sunday nights (OLR calls ya know). I already have a decent collection of videos that I've found over the years as well as ones that I have personally taken myself at tournaments and not had distributed.
