Wow... I've completed the second step.

The first step was purchasing Max2 a few weeks after it came out. I played it on the controller (I know that's lame), unlocked every hidden goodie, and played most of Standard.

Friday night, I went to a friend's birthday party. Every time I've had the chance to try DDR using a pad, I've resisted, because I don't want to make myself look like an arse. So, I was sitting on the couch with all of the attractive DDR-playing girls trying to pull me up to play.

Being as out of shape as I am, and having never played on a pad, I really tried as hard as possible to not let them get me up, but they succeeded. I didn't think I'd do well, but I made a B if I remember correctly, on my first light song with a pad.

Well, now is the time when I finally buy a pad. I didn't realize how easy this game would be...

Any pad suggestions as I become more addicted and work my way up to a Cobalt Flux in a few years (maybe)?

buy two of those knock off ignitions on ebay so you can play doubles, they're only $29 for two i think

Buy something not too expensvie to start on, but when you get good, definately go for the Cobalt Flux. I wouldn't trade mine for the world.
