|

After I play some stamina draining songs today I noticed my stamina was fine but my ankles are aching so bad I had to stop playing. I have really high arches in my feet but when I tried using arch supports then my feet ached really bad. Has anyone had problems like this? I am wondering if an ankle brace or something like that would help. |

You kinda needed to strech for that.DDR is like a sport, just try to go for a couple of warmup song to insure that you dont get any cramps or sores.(just move your ancle around and dont do anything that involves running) |

Maxxbot,
I would try some ankle mobility drills as a warm-up, and then a warm-up song or two if necessary. You might also want to ice your ankle(s) after you finish.
There are a lot of factors that could attribute to your problem. PM me if you would like a more in-depth explanation. |

I've tried stretching, ankle rolls, warming up with slow songs, etc. But no matter what I do when I go for the fast, stamina draining songs my ankles hurt like crazy. |

Maxxbot,
There a few reasons that I can think of why you are having these problems, I am going to throw out a few of them, don't be offended if they do not apply to you.
1. You may doing too much DDR'ing - thus you have an over use injury - solution rest
2. You may not be physically prepared for the fast stamina draining songs, I am not sure of your experience or level, but if you are just starting to do these type of songs, your body just migh not be ready - solution - warm-up and then only do a partial song and work your way up to being able to complete a full song.
3. Your body may not be ready for those type of fast impacts - try some training that isn't DDR - but still involves similar movements as DDR
These are just a few quick thoughts on your subject - I am sure that you will be able to make through this minor irritation. |
