We lost 2 hard drives within days of each other, then migrated most of the stuff to another server. I'm still working on stuff right now, so expect some instability for the rest of today. _________________

Yeah, I have this for my homepage, too, and it's nice not to see that 404: Page is not found. _________________

I mean, it's one of the most popular "it" destinations these days. I'd think that they wouldn't get away with the usual spyware/malware crap, as they have entirely too big of an audience to piss off with it.
You make it sound as if HSR is specifically out to destroy people's systems... _________________

Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy, but if you got that kinda stuff from Homestar Runner, you've already been hit by some massive spyware.
I suggest you Flatten and Re-Install, then get a firewall (if you don't have one) and a program like Ad-Aware to check your COMPY386 for that stuff in the future. _________________

Aside form not being valid HTML and using proprietary (though well supported) embed tags there's nothing "shocking" or "bad" about that code.
Certainly no spy-ware.
I picked half a dozen other pages and they're all basically the same, they don't even run banner ads! _________________

your funny caseu you think your cute
i run ZA on a very strict setting and run adaware and spybot (in that order) once a week after getting updates of course
ive come to the conlusion it was HSR becasue i click to go to ddrfreak(forgetting it was down) then imediatly realize i have to go to work and turn my moniter off
come back and home star retard is doing something stupid and ive got a shit load of warnings going off about new programs wanting net access and other installs being blocked now as that was my only window open it leads to the simple conclusion that HSR was the cause (the only other sights i had been on that day were sites that i can guarentee dont use shitware such as georgecarlin.com and anime planet) _________________

EBT:
Neither DDR Freak nor H*R gave you spyware, or tried to attack your system, or anything.
Do you know how many people visited both DDR Freak and H*R? They're not flooding these boards with complaints. _________________

Actually it's possible that DDR Freak gave you spyware a few weeks back when we had those really crappy pop-ups and installers. It gave me a ton of crap, and I had to get rid of it with Ad-Aware and Spybot. _________________

Flamebait aside (the misspelled cute thing), I'll make this simple: No "Strong Digital Defense" is perfect. you can and will be hit with spyware no matter how hard you try. But I'll give you one thing, you at least have the blocks in place.
I will say that in all the forums I go to, the usual reccomendation is monthly backups and format/reinstall at least four times a year just to keep things fresh. _________________

i call it as i see it when i get a crap load of stuff on my box and i go to ONE site i dont regually go to i made certain leaps of logic
and the last tiem i said i got somethign form ddrfreak i was right and jdogg very quickly took care of the issue and has my thanks for doing so
and just to make a point clear im not complaining for the sake of complaining i happen to like ddrfreak and agree with most everything that goes so when i DO see something that i felel is shit shaped i call it in an attempt to make the forum that much of a better place the number of things i complain about pales in comparison to the number of things that i agree with _________________

Yes, it's possible, a few weeks ago.
But this time, there was no ad to load, and millions of people have seen that flash animation on H*R.
I'm just trying to clarify that there was NO malware hidden in the page source. So unless the spyware EBT extracted was a time-based attack or something, it was not the fault of a single DDR Freak "the server is down" page, or H*Runner's "The system is down" flash animation. _________________
