Where do you put your fingers while playing Stepmania?

Where do people put their fingers when playing stepmania? For now I'm using the arrow keys but it seems hard to get certain things like this, especially with certain difficult air patterns. Where do you experts out there position yourself? I'll never come even close to moving my fingers at Blur speed at the current hand position.

That setup would drive me insane, but it would probably be easier if I bothered to get used to it. I use my index, middle, and ring fingers to alternate on the arrow keys. But mostly I play with my feet .

I played using the arrow keys for about one day, realized it was very boring and bought a dance pad + converter. I suggest the same

I generally use up, delete, home, page down for singles, and then the same along with the num pad for doubles. I basically just use SM to get a sense of where double-stepping, turning, and such happens in songs, as well at their basic rhythms. That way I know what's coming on my feet in the arcade.

I use to use my
Middle Finger and ring finger but found out its slower to use them
and my hands were in an okward position.
so i switched over to index and middle and im like 2x faster then what i was with my other setup.
but i have a hard time placing my thumbs it gets irritating.
I also use to use my right middle and ring on arrow keys ^ >
and my left hand on A S for < \/. that was a pain also.
