I'm definitely making a rash judgement here because I only have DDR MAX 2 USA. BUT it seems to me like Captain Jack just gets some girl to sing, says something every once in a while, and stands around and looks pretty in his videos. This hits me especially on "Dream a Dream". When he speaks (I can't call it rapping) what he says is so mindblowingly uncreative. Unless he does the mixing of the songs himself or something else I'm not aware of. Is he better on any of the other mixes?

I agree, Captain Jack doesn't seem to do much. But he must do something, he doesn't work for konami and has real records.

That my friend is more like Naoki. While he raps, it seems like that's just a gap between the girls singing, and all the smaples are the girls. Captain Jack sang thoroughly in "In the Navy 99 Distaster", and "Oduru Pompokolin", and a few others....I haven't heard like The Race in a few..years dunno about about that one.

I didn't know Captain Jack sang "In the Navy '99". I like Captain Jack (Grandale Mix) however, and I went to his site. He reminds me of M. Bison from Street Fighter.

Just because they don't do much in the songs doesn't mean CJ or Naoki don't... you know... WRITE the songs?

I think writing or mixing the song takes a lot more effort than singing it...

Captain Jack isn't the guy singing. That's Frankie Gee.
In Dream A Dream and In The Navy 99 (XXL Disaster Mix) the girl is Maloy.

Also, Captain Jack is awesome.

Well, Captain Jack has some really good songs, but he also has some issues with singing, it seems.
Then again, so does Lil' Jon (The guy in "Yeah" who knows only the words, "Okay," "Let's Go," and "What") and he still "makes" [somewhat] good music!

Captain Jack's best song to date was "Captain Jack." I wonder why...
