I agree with you guys that it is not as good and will never be as stepmania or DWi.. But the fact that it now has a challenge mode to challenge other players, shop to buy songs with credits you earn, Secret songs, keeps stats for each song you play and has over 100 songs that have been hell to get permission to use... I think it is quite the effort. Keep in mind that this sim was made to satiate DDR players when they couldn't play Stepmania or DDR and were stuck in a lab/work/class. It does it's job well and supports the DDR community in ways most will never know. Not to mention it has nearly 250,000 registered members, active forums and a simfile section.
Spread the love.
Cheers,

Hehehe BTW guys, that synthlight guy who posted, he's the CREATOR of FFR...I was suprised to see him here. FFR...yes it's definitely inferior compared to SM or even DWI, but consider this. FFR is flash, SM and DWI you have to download. Any flash game is only capable of so much, and plus Synth (synthlight) has a new R2 engine coming. Meaning speed mods, freeze arrows, arrow mods, a poopy of other stuff you could never imagine. FFR is in a league of it's own. And btw, their forums are awesome... _________________

Flat mode will soon be changed, arrows will soon be different colors (according to the note of the step). Also, the reason why you get a Boo! when you hit a random arrow is because we don't want to see people simply arrow mashing and getting themselves on the scoreboards. _________________

i personally think FFR sucks. i tried it out because my friend had heard about it and wanted me to see if it was any good, and i found out it sucks. the arrows look like the ones from Konamix (PS One) and they're all blue. the grading system sucks too. it gives points and a % of much of the high score your score was. i got 7 or less credits per song and the cheaoest thing in the shop i saw was 200. way too long to get that many. overall:if you havent tried and are considering, dont. waste of time and effort. make better use of your time and play SM/DWI. |

It's not bad for a flash game. Sure, it lags, bad interface, but for a game hosted online, with a personal account, nice graphics, it's not the worst.
Just think of this as the beginning of DWI/SM. It will get better. |
