why is it AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, ... E??? anyone know why the grading is like that? just curious. peace

Well, it's quite obvious the "E" stands for "Egret". And birds don't play DDR very well.

Japan has a different grading system than America. End of story. And the picture in your signature is WAAAAY to big.

Why would you want an 'F'? Isn't it enough to get an 'E' and have the "FAILED" screen come up to ridicule you?

If 'F' were real, then you really must suck to get that grade.

In case you were wondering what the grades stand for:

AAA - Absolutely Atrociously Awful

AA - Absolutely Awful

A - just plain Awful

B - Bad

C - Cool

D - Delightful

E - Excellent, as mentioned before

F - Fantastic, unfortunately this one was left out in DDR

According to those grades I'm an Excellent player !

Wouldn't it be so funny to incorporate an "F" score into a future release of Stepmania? After all, there is a AAAA in Stepmania, and it would be hilarious for someone to do so bad that they received an F.

I thought the "E" grade was awarded because the game didn't want to upset little kiddies' delicate self-esteem by awarding an "F". We all know however, if you get an "E"... YOU SUUUUCK! Go play Whack-a-Mole or something.

Then again, the game booing at you isn't a big ego inflater is it? At least you can work your way out of the hole to where they won't boo. If autofail is OFF, and you still suck, then everyone gets to hear boos and the announcer's harassment for the remainder of the song. Ugh.
