|
|
I know, this is a nitpicky thing, but I wanted to toss this out there to see if anyone else is experiencing it.
Yesterday, the board was working normally for me. This morning whenever I read a thread, it's not being marked as read. In order for the threads to be marked read, I have to click the 'mark all threads as read' link.
(This is happening on two different computers, work and home.)
Anyone else getting this? JDogg, could this be related to the new ad situation?
---------
Edit: Now it's not even marking them as read if I click the 'mark all threads as read' link. _________________

I made some changes last night which caches pages for users who are not logged in. Apparently, it seems to be a little buggy with regard to marking things as read. I'll work on it later tonight. _________________

I guess this is for mods only, really, but I noticed that when I go to delete a post, all these error messages appear. I think it still works though. _________________

Its doing it to me also....the only way to get the threads I've read to be marked is to log out and then log back in. _________________

Guess what, It does happen to me as well. Here at home and at school, Chabot College! I have read a thread in the Nor Cal board and when I go back, let's say back to Nor Cal board via the "Jump to" pop-up menu, the thead is still marked as new. It's not you mods and admins, probably to the users as well.

I noticed that too. I noticed it when a thread I posted in was at the top with the icon saying a new message was posted, even though I was the new poster. It's a little annoying, but whatever. _________________

oh good, I thought it was just my computer or something. I'm glad it's not; this computer has enough problems. _________________

It's getting on my nerves.
1) posts in thread
2) goes back to forum
3) re-clicks link
4) cursing ensues, goes back to forum
5) re-re-clicks link
6) more cursing
repeat two or three more times. |

Ok, I've fixed some of these problems:
1. marking threads as read
2. deleting posts error messages
3. unregistered users jumping to different pages
Edit: Looks like there's still the problem that the forums are not being marked as unread in the index page. I'll work on that next. _________________
