| If you're talking about life recovery in Oni mode, it's determined by the difficulty of the next song. Light only gives 1, Standard gives 2, and Heavy give 3. |

Well if you miss 1 in a course and only gain one back, it's because you can't have more than 4 lives in the battery at the top.
