Quite some time ago, I ran across a post on one of these here boards about possible footage or something like that of the Japanese visual kei artist Gackt playing DDR. If anyone out there remembers the post or has information on this for me, help me out, okay?

lol, I think I've heard about that also. But I wouldn't know where to get a video of Gackt playing DDR. You can try Kazaa, WINMX, Soul Seeker, and other file sharing services. Search Gackt in videos. and try from there.
