cleaning contacts on metal pads

i was just wondering how to clean the contacts on my mymybox metal pad. i know how to get the arrows off, but what should i use and how should i clean the contacts?

I've heard of using the eraser from a pencil, also Rubbing Alcohol works.

Use a damp brillo pad (the rough side) and scrape it as hard as you can. Also have some paper towels on hand to dry it off. I used this method for my cheap 3rd party pad and it cleaned all the gunk pretty well.
