Best Mod for BNS pads?

Hey guys n gals...I just recently bought two BNS flash pads and MAX2, and i was wondering what the best mod would be for playing on medium-length carpet - now that i've started playing songs with 1/8th steps in them, the pad bunches up and moves like crazy - so i need some sort of mod to fix that - i've seen the one on this site and also the chubbypad, but which one is better? (like does the covering or acrylic panels last longer, play easier) or are they about the same - on a final note, i tend to take pretty heavy steps, so comfort is definitely a plus - thx
