i read the rules and looked at the sticky threds and i didnt see anything that said i cant post how i feel about step mania. if i missed something feel free to notify me and lock the thred, or pm me wat i did wrong and delete the thred. anyway...back to my main point
i just got it today and i actually think (after getting the darn thing to work) that it is far superior than the ps2/ps mixes. you get any song you want and for what, ITS FOR FRIKKING FREE. all i need is to shell out a lil money for a usb adapter and download some other songs and im set. if it wasint for this i would of spent $70 for DDREX jpn, $35 for a swap disk thingy, and who knows how much for shipping. anyone who receltly got this (vets with some helpful info, or anyone), please reply.

Sure it's free, but who said songs are free? just about any song you download for it is copyrighted. You really SHOULD buy the respective games/soundtracks if you like being legal.
Yes, people hate me for reminding them about this, but Stepmania would not seem so magical if you had to buy the songs. And you should. |

I guess since it is legal, it's fine. It really doesn't bother me, either way, though. It's fun, it's free, so whatever.

Stepmania is legal.
The only thing about SM that's illegal is d/ling songs that you don't own. I own a couple versions of DDR, but they're on multiple systems and not in my room. That's why I use SM, and it's legal for those purposes.

Exactly, it is just the unliscensed MP3's you are downloading that are your problem. Like having Britney Spears Toxic.mp3 on your hard drive (I *know* you wouldn't buy the CD!)
