Hey, I have some how managed to get my professors to allow me to design a hard pad for my senior design project in EE. So....I'm gonna make a hard pad for the Xbox(being as there arent any good ones on the market), and design everything from scratch. I'll be using piezoelectric sensors, and a lexan surface.

I'll post updates if people are interested, and eventually get up a website on this project. Any reccomendations/tips would be appreciated.

Will this be a metal pad or a crappy dance performance like pad thats hard but made of plastic. The title say ur making a metal pad but in ur post u kept sayin hard pad.

The Home Built Metal Pad Thread has TONS of information.

There's an old thread somewhere around here in console games that's something to the effect of 'a way to show you're playing on a mat in ultramix!'. That thread may help you with wiring... you may have to dig down deep for it though.
