This is officially my new project i'm taking on. Right now I'm planning on running Stepmania Alpha10 on a comp in an arcade cabinet (Not a ddr cabinet, they are too hard to find). Has anyone around here done this before, or has any hints?
And what's up with the 30 minute waiting period before I can post of the forum? That's just weird. _________________

I meant after you sign up there is a 30 minute waiting period before you can post. Seems pretty pointless to me... _________________

I'm sure it keeps out a few retards a year. It's just a cooldown process to make new users think about what they're about to say. |

Also so maybe theyll read the rules before posting, although most people never do. Anyway, good luck with the cabinet, the hardest part i found while blue printing mine was hooking up an arcade monitor, but theres converters that can do that for you if you want to order them. |

The hardest thing so far has been the cabinet. I'm thinking it will be a lot easier to just get some wood an build a cabinet rather than buying one. DDR cabinets happen to be extremely oddly shaped and no other cabinets look like them. _________________

After thinking about some things, I've set up a tentative plan for the box. I've decided that insted of building a machine only for ddr, I might as well build it for everything else too. It's kind of going to look like one of those generic arcade sit down machines. The one's you usually see Marvel Vs. Capcom in. If all goes to plan I will build it myself out of wood, and put a sliding drawer with the classic arcade controls. This will help it not to get in the way when I play ddr, and it can pop right out when I decide to play Pac-Man or whatever. _________________
