I'm going to build a ddr machine...yes a ddr machine. I have a pretty general idea about what I can do (like how to build the outer case, speakers to use, pads and such) But...I'm still looking for ideas to help me in this goal. So...in this thread, just leave some imput on what I can do to make my machine. Oh, and if you live in the Maryland area, like around Edgewood/Aberdeen, I'll let you guys play on it when its finally complete. |

How are you planning on using stepmania? Are you gonna use 1 computer tower with a HUGE HD but let it load slower. Or are you gonna do a bunch of smaller HDs and let the seperate mixes load faster? _________________

well im just going to keep everything on one HD. once I load the game once, most of it will stay in cache memory. and since stepmania will be the only thing the computer will load, everytime I boot up the machine it will blast right though the songs in less than 5 seconds. its pretty simple |

If you want it to be as real as possible, you could always buy the real pads from Channel Beat.

Channel Beat = Underground people who can't read. Some of the stories I've heard, anyways. I've never actually ordered anything from them.
Good luck with it. Please, please, please!!! Post some pictures of it in progress. It would be just sicktacular if you made a site or something like that.
I'd go with Cobalt Flux, by the way. Amazing metal pads. |

Dude, I'll help with anything on the Site. I don't really know HTML, but I can use pagebuilder, and stuff. PM me, E-Mail me, or MSN me if you're interested. |

Well the cash is gonna be hard to get. I work, so I can get a little from there, some of the other guys on my team also work. and if we spread the word around to other ddr junkies like myself, maybe they'll help out and shell out $5 here and there. I'm sure I can get the money somehow
Oh, and if anyone wants to help out and donate money, that would be much appreciated! Money orders are accepted |
