Hello all.
My favorite ddr dj is TaQ. But I wonder sometimes, is TaQ pronunciated like in tic-TAC? or Ta and then the Q as an individual letter?
I personally think is Ta and then Q, but i always say TaQ like in tic-TAC.
Say ur opinions here, and mention other weird pronunciations!
Oh and u can also mention ur favorite ddr dj's too!
PS: my english kinda sucks

It's pronounced T-ah-k. One syllable I used to think it was T.a.Q though. _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Since is SySF I would say that is it Siss Eff... Not completely sure though. I say this because SyS usually means System or something... *Shrugs*

I just say the sneeze song ('cause it sounds like an effed-up sneeze when you say it quickly). Ah-Choo!
No one wants to do the work of pronouncing it, so I like that better than trying. |

I know that, but it's an official name change (ever play Ultramix? There's Drop The Bomb (SySF Mix) and Look To The Sky (True Color Mix) by SySF. That's an exact quote, SySF, not System SF.) Anyways, I pronouce it "Sye Ess Eff" cuz the SF is capital, so I pronounce is like SF, and I pronouce the Sy like Sye. |

Ever play DDR Max1?? Those two songs are in it and its Drop the Bomb (System SF Mix) and Look to the sky (Both) are by System SF. Its not a name change, it is an abreviation. _________________

Kakumei is often pronounced "K-oo-kuh-may" when actually, it's "K-ahk-uh-may" ...just saying... _________________

MAX1 CAME OUT BEFORE ULTRAMIX GENIOUS!!! THE NAME CHANGE TOOK PLACE AFTER EXTREME CAME OUT IN THE ARCADES. This is shown by: Midnite Blaze (SySF Mix) in MAX2US. Yes, it's called SySF. Not System SF. It's been that way ever since Extreme came out, and it will never be System SF again. It will always remain SySF.\

Actually, it's Kah-Koo-May, not Kah-Kuh-May. |

Dude, you have no idea what I was trying to say. I am saying it is an abbreviation to make the artists name smaller. It always has been system Sf and always will be. You dont pronounce it Size-f or whatever sh*t you want to attempt to make it sound like(Sysf). You still say System SF. _________________

One more thing to add...
When it comes to the song Holic, do you all pronounce it; hole-ick or hall-ick? _________________

And now from my point of view (of stupidity)
Quick little lesson (even though most of you have probably seen this from else where; please dont flame me for trying to tell others)
Romanized japanese is just odd in my opinion.
Romanized Japanese = How we'd pronounce it
E = ai
I = ee
AI = eye
Ok now that's over with (please dont shoot me >.<)
I personally say
TaQ = (tic)Tac
Aoi Shoudou= ah-o-ee sh-oo-doe-oo(Aoi translates to BLUE )
Holic= hall-ick
Kakumei= Kah-ku-may-ee(translation= revolution )
ok I'll shut up now. _________________

I read somewhere that Kakumei's name actually is derived from the seperate Japenese characters "kaku" and "mei" which when placed side by side (touching) form the Japanese symbol for "revolution" which is of course significant because the song itself is based on Chopin's Revolution.
As for pronunciations, where there's Japanese I stick with the romanized pronunciations (or whatever). For Holic I've been pronouncing it "hall-ick" (it...just...sounds cooler) and TaQ I've been going with "ta-que". SySF I just refer to as "sis-eff" (it's just faster than saying each letter).
me = pronounce masta
...not

Holy crud I am an idiot(but you all already knew that). I've heard people mention 'Blue Impulse' and never put 2 and 2 together. But hey you learn something new everyday. _________________
